“Quarantined in Psalm 119 (Psalm 119:145-152 ק Kuf)”

Preacher:
Passage: Psalm 119:145-152

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the mandated stay at home orders, as we worship in our homes, Pastor John leads the church through daily prayerful, meditative, and reflective readings of the longest chapter in the entire Bible.  Psalm 119 is divided into 22 sections, one section for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  We will read a section a day, and then discuss together online in our church Facebook group.

Today’s takeaway # 19 – twice the Psalmist calls out to the Lord (v. 145 and 146) because he had the unwavering confidence that the Lord is near (v. 151).  In Psalm 145:18 we read, “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.  In Philippians 4:5b the apostle Paul reiterates this truth, “The Lord is near.”
