“Quarantined in Psalm 119 (Psalm 119:1-8 א Aleph)”

Preacher:
Passage: Psalm 119:1-8

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the mandated stay at home orders, as we worship in our homes, Pastor John leads the church through daily, prayerful, meditative, and reflective readings of the longest chapter in the entire Bible.  Psalm 119 is divided into 22 sections, one section for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  The Psalmist literally uses the Hebrew alphabet to give us the ABC’s of a viable, fruitful, and productive life of faith in God.  We will read a section a day, and then discuss together online in our church Facebook group.

Today’s takeaway # 1 – the Bible in general, and in this specific passage here in Psalm 119:1-8, makes clear that not only is it possible for a person to live a blameless, upright, righteous, and holy life, but a person who lives this way is blessed
