“Quarantined in Psalm 119 (Psalm 119:33-40 ה Hei)”

Preacher:
Passage: Psalm 119:33-40

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the mandated stay at home orders, as we worship in our homes, Pastor John leads the church through daily prayerful, meditative, and reflective readings of the longest chapter in the entire Bible.  Psalm 119 is divided into 22 sections, one section for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  We will read a section a day, and then discuss together online in our church Facebook group.

Today’s takeaway # 5 – don’t know what to ask God for in prayer?  The Psalmist gives us eight very specific and Godly requests to ask the Lord for:  teach me…(v. 33);  give me… (v. 34);  direct me… (v. 35);  turn my heart toward… (v. 36);  turn my eyes away… (v. 37a);  preserve my life… (v. 37b and v. 40b);  fulfill Your promise… (v.38);  take away… (v. 39)
