“Quarantined in Psalm 119 (Psalm 119:169-176 ת Tav)”

Preacher:
Passage: Psalm 119:169-176

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the mandated stay at home orders, as we worship in our homes, Pastor John leads the church through daily prayerful, meditative, and reflective readings of the longest chapter in the entire Bible.  Psalm 119 is divided into 22 sections, one section for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  We will read a section a day, and then discuss together online in our church Facebook group.

Today’s takeaway # 22 – as we close out our daily meditative readings of the longest chapter in the Bible and its 22 sections, the Psalmist fittingly concludes by declaring his intent to continually praise the Lord.  His lips will overflow with praise (v. 171a), and his tongue will sing of God’s word (v. 172a) as the Psalmist lives to praise God (v. 175a).  May our lives as well be devoted to praising the Lord!
