“Quarantined in Psalm 119 (Psalm 119:121-128 ע Ayin)”

Preacher:
Passage: Psalm 119:121-128

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the mandated stay at home orders, as we worship in our homes, Pastor John leads the church through daily prayerful, meditative, and reflective readings of the longest chapter in the entire Bible.  Psalm 119 is divided into 22 sections, one section for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  We will read a section a day, and then discuss together online in our church Facebook group.

Today’s takeaway # 16 – the Psalmist here makes a declaration that most Americans could never make.  In verse 127, the Psalmist says, “I love Your commands more than gold, more than pure gold.”  In Matthew 6:24b, Jesus said, “You cannot serve both God and money.”  The apostle Paul also had very strong words about this in I Timothy 6:9-10.  Where do your affections lay?
